What is Invisalign?

A type of clear aligner called Invisalign is a popular choice for orthodontic treatment. They are made from a thin, flexible thermoplastic material named SmartTrack. As the name suggests, this product is designed to make braces less noticeable.

What types of dental issues can Invisalign correct?

Not only does Invisalign relieve crowding and spacing issues, but it can also be utilized for those with mild and moderate bite issues.

Invisalign can work on the following:

  • some types of an overbite, underbite, and crossbite issues
  • open bite
  • gap teeth
  • crowded teeth

What’s involved with wearing them?

The first step of the process is contact with an orthodontist, who will create a 3-D image of your mouth and jaw. Next, they’ll use this image to set up a plan for moving your teeth into their correct position.

Once our orthodontist has created your treatment plan, he will use it to make some aligners for you. These plastic aligners slowly and gradually bring your teeth into the desired position.

We’ll help you switch out aligners once per week or so if instructed by our orthodontist. You should wear them for 20-22 hours a day.

Is Invisalign right for you?

Here are some of the questions to ask yourself before deciding to get Invisalign aligners:

Do you have a crowding or bite issue with your teeth?

  • Do I feel self-conscious about wearing braces?
  • Will I wear the aligners for the appropriate number of hours every day?
  • Can I afford them?
  • Will I take care of them correctly?
