Once I crossed I called and Uber, it was about a $3 ride and less than a 10 minutes. The staff there was extremely friendly and tentative to all my needs. I did not have to wait long to be seen. The equipment was advanced and the facility was very clean. I am very happy with how well I was taken care of. The prices are also reasonable. I will definitely be back!

How long do composite fillings last?
Composite fillings, while they’re more durable than composites, have a shorter life span than amalgams. One 2010 study predicted a lifespan of about seven years.
Multiple research studies have been done to determine the life expectancy of a composite filling. Based on current reports and other considerations, you can get between 10-14 years, but if you have a high risk for cavities, it will be closer to 4-6 years, depending on various other factors.

Composite fillings procedure
Getting a composite filling is usually straightforward and can be done in one visit as long as there aren’t any other complicating factors.
- Our dentist may begin by selecting the composite shade to use in your filling as soon as you arrive. Some research says it’s better to choose this beforehand before your mouth has time to dry out, which can often affect the brightness of your
- Our dentist will numb the tooth and surrounding area before going ahead.
- Our dentist will drill into your tooth to remove the decayed portion of your tooth.
- If a tooth needs a filling, the dentist will clean and dry the area around it first, then use a file to prepare it for filling. With more extensive damage to your tooth, they might need to shave some of it off before it can be sealed.
- Our dentist will etch and bond your tooth.
- They’ll begin applying the composite material in thin layers to the hole in your tooth. Then, the dentist will use a light to cure the composite filling and get it to set. Since it’s applied in layers, they will use the light every time they add a new filling layer until there are no more gaps.
- Our dentist will clean, shape and polish your teeth.
- Our dentist will assess your bite to ensure you’re comfortable with the new restoration.
Afterward, you might have a short-lived sensitivity to heat and cold, but it should go away quickly.
